You are ..... the Bloom in my Heart

This is my new image! What do you think?

This image is the third image in a series of Love Cards I am designing. "You are..." (stay tuned for more!)

Inspired by an orginal Angiogram (one from a person with an enormously wonderful and loving heart) and the idea of bittersweet love. Another anatomical reference - the heart and the heart beat. The feeling you have when you feel that your heart is being powered by the love of another.  So much so that the blood pumping through you causes your heart to swell or in this case Bloom. You can almost feel it pumping or massaging the rose Blooming heart.

Sandra Darling Visual Art Creations - Calendar 2010

As the year draws to a close -  I started to think about the New Year. Suddenly realised I do not have a calendar for next year!! So ..... I just designed my own 2010 Wall Calendar!! (Probably should have got this organised a lot early but as they say better late then never!).

Here are some images below. What do you think?

If you have any questions or would be interested in ordering a copy please send me a convo through my esty Shop: SandraDarling.etsy.com - It is being printed on premium glossy card stock and the buy price on my calendar would be $29.95 plus postage.

I love comments - so please feel free to leave one!

you are ... the love of my lungs

Inspired by early anatomical illustrations, and the alchemy of early scientific exploration - this quirky Love Card expresses the bittersweetness of love. The feeling you have when you believe the very air that you breath is due to that one person.

The background image to this Love Card is a rainbow in a early dusk sky which caught my eye from my front high walled courtyard....I particularly liked the colour of the sky and the contrast of the power line underneath, disecting the sky like that of an abstract painting. I think it gives the picture plain tension and adds to the "electricity" that is evident in the sky after a rain storm.

twinkle xmas

food for thought and thought for food:
"And the Grinch, with his Ginch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't thought of before. What if Christmas, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more". Dr Seuss

The apple of my eye!

Inspired by kooky lil monsters, the notion of  - There is a "Wild Thing" in all of us, never lose it (from "Where the Wild Things Are") and the Cuppy Cake song!

What a combination?

Tree of Family Whimsy

I would like to share with you a little art work I am working on for my Mothers 70th Birthday this month (if you are reading this Mum - immediately blind fold your eyes now! Turn around and walk away from the computer!)

It's just a little something to represent our immediate family and how the loving and nuturing provided from a parent and a family unit can surround you in love, life and happiness!

I hope she likes it, and finds a special little place to display it as well as to reflect on it and think about her family and life, feeling totally loved from her adoring children and grandchildren.
